Hi Lyndsey! 

Who wouldn&#039;t have the urge to do the Mentos and Coke experiment? Surely you&#039;re never too old! The amount of parental involvement would very much depend on the age and ability of the child, but if you&#039;re happy that your child can cope with boiling water (geode experiment) and you don&#039;t mind a bit of mess, most secondary school aged children would be fine to do these experiments with minimal supervision. 

As far as I am aware, homework from school does not involve experiments. However, here at Futurum, we believe that support and encouragement at home is key for STEAMM subjects. Our articles and corresponding activity sheets are fantastic at supporting what is learnt at school. They give additional knowledge and make it relevant to real life situations. The activity sheets include experiments and other activities to do at home.
