In preparation for the UK’s National Careers Week on 2-7 March, NCW, in partnership, with RBS has announced that its 2020 popup website is now live.

The site has quick links to a huge array of resources for teachers and career leaders to help them get started with their Careers Week planning and activities.

So, what can you find on this one-stop, popup site?

Planning, publicity and printables

You’ll find a week planner, social media pack, promotional materials such as posters and flyers – pretty much everything you need to promote National Careers Week in and around your school. There is even a Thank You Postcard you can download, print and send to people that helped you out during Careers Week!

Activities

You’ll find quick and easy activities like worksheets, wordsearches and crosswords, and more sophisticated activities such as the RBS Career Kickstart Resources to help students decide whether apprenticeships, university and other career paths are right for them. The Chartered Institute of Housing has even created a workshop activity that aims to stimulate discussion and thinking around the concept of social housing.

Booklets and guides

This is where you’ll find more heavyweight resources and information such as the NCW Ofsted Careers Handbook. This handbook discusses the likely effect of Ofsted inspections on the relatively new post of Careers Leader.

And, of course, don’t forget to take advantage of Futurum’s resources, which use real-world research projects to inspire the next generation of scientists, engineers and researchers: https://futurumcareers.com/resources
